Reconciliation

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is celebrated on Saturday between 3:00 and 3:30 pm at Holy Family.  Outside of these times contact the parish priest by calling 513 921-7527 x 104.

Act of Contrition:

O my God, I heartily sorry for having offended Thee, and I detest all my sins because of Thy just punishments, but most of all because they offend Thee, my God, Who art all-good and deserving of all my love.  I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to sin no more and to avoid the near occasions of sin.

The Sacrament of Reconciliation is also known as confession, penance or conversion.  Confession is movement toward God after one has sinned.  The person approaching the Sacrament of Reconciliation is filled with sorrow and the intent to sin no more.  A person desiring reconciliation with God and the church should confess to a priest a firm intention to sin no more.  At the end of confession the priest proposes a penance or reparation to atone for ones sins and then offers resolution.  After resolution is given an act of contrition is said.
