Taize Prayer Service

March 15 at 7:00 p.m. Holy Family Church

Imagine the church, dimly lit by candles on the altar, with a cross at the center. Imagine spending time in contemplative prayer, chanting the same phrase over and over together.  Imagine then a reading and time for silent reflection. This is Taize. There is no preaching, no talking, just time to center yourself this Lent and spend time with God.

All are welcome to experience this beautiful, ecumenical prayer form on Thursday, March 15 at 7:00 p.m. at Holy Family Church.

Musicians: Denise Luebbe Vasquez (Piano) and Carol Birchak (Cello)

Soup, Salad and Stations of the Cross - CANCELLED MARCH 14

Cancelled March 14

Join us on Wednesdays, February 21, 28 and March 7, 14 for a light supper at Holy Family House.  After sharing in a light meal together, we'll head over to church to pray the Stations of the Cross.  Each week we will use different prayers during our reflection.  Each one will challenge us to reflect on how we are using the gifts Jesus gave us when he gave his life for all.

Soup, Salad and Stations: 5:30 p.m. Holy Family House

Stations: 7:00 Holy Family Church

Advent Breakfast Fun - See what you missed!

Waiting for Jesus together

The cafeteria was filled to capacity as members of the parish joined each other at the "Waiting for Jesus Advent Breakfast" on December 10th.  While everyone waited for the food to be served, youth from Good Shepherd Parish did crafts with the children. After breakfast, the children were treated to a visit from Santa Claus and a piñata.  They also prepared the manger for the baby Jesus. Special thanks to Joan Thompson and Joyce Barrett who chaired the event, to the Ladies of the Parish who sponsored the event, to all the cooks and servers behind the scenes, the youth of Good Shepherd, Santa and his elves and the cleaning crew.  Special thanks to Walter Plummer from Good Shepherd for sharing his photos with us.
